The leaves of P. incarnata have a calming effect when they are brewed as a tea.

A distinctive feature of the German air-conditioned hardy species are also their Wurzelrhizome.

The plants die (when they are planted in the German climate) during the winter above ground, from the rhizomes, but it drives most of next year out.

All in all, P. incarnata is very easy care, and floriferous.
